Joseph's Project

When Joseph and his fiancée were completing their kitchen in Oxford, they knew the worktops would define the overall feel of the space. The sleek cabinetry, central island, and black range cooker already created a strong contemporary foundation, but the room needed a surface that would bring everything together without overwhelming the design.

While exploring different options for quartz worktops in Oxford, they wanted a surface that combined natural character with everyday practicality. Mono Irini proved to be the perfect choice, with its soft grey base and mineral-inspired detailing adding subtle depth without the bold look of heavily veined quartz.

The island became the centrepiece of the installation, providing a generous workspace for food preparation, entertaining, and daily family life. The textured pattern spreads evenly across the surface, creating a refined finish that responds beautifully to the natural light from the garden doors.

The same quartz continues across the back run and matching splashback, creating a seamless, bespoke finish around the range cooker and preparation areas. For Joseph and his fiancée, choosing a luxury kitchen worktop was about investing in a surface that looked elegant while standing up to the demands of everyday living.

The soft, speckled texture complements the neutral palette, tying together the cabinetry, appliances, and open-plan layout without dominating the room. The continuous use of quartz also gives the kitchen a cleaner, more architectural appearance.
