Arjun Kapoor, transforming his property in the prestigious Summertown area of Oxford, aimed to create a flawlessly clean, ultra-minimalist culinary space. To achieve this seamless, monolithic aesthetic, he selected stark white, true handleless cabinetry. To unify this bright, highly streamlined design and add a subtle layer of luxurious texture, he required a surface that could reflect light beautifully while offering uncompromising strength. Arctic Starburst quartz worktop was the absolute perfect choice to complete this bright, contemporary vision.

Walking into this newly renovated room during the final electrical fit-out phase, the pristine Mono Arctic Starburst quartz acts as the stunning focal point. The sparkling white surface sweeps flawlessly across the L-shaped layout, providing a robust and seamless preparation zone that perfectly frames a sleek, black five-burner SMEG gas hob.

As with many premium quartz worktops in Oxford, the emphasis here was on combining timeless aesthetics with long-term durability. The carefully selected quartz surface enhances the minimalist design while providing a practical, low-maintenance solution that suits the demands of everyday cooking.

The architectural brilliance of this Oxford installation lies in its clean lines and protective features. Directly behind the gas hob, a magnificent full-height matching quartz splashback extends upwards to perfectly meet the overhead extractor housing, providing an easy-to-clean, continuous surface. To the right of the cooking zone rests a highly bespoke matching quartz chopping board, custom-cut from the same slab to offer flexible, heavy-duty protection for the main counters. Crisp matching upstands border the remaining perimeter, creating a sharp, watertight seal against the freshly painted white walls.
