Tobias Thorne, renovating his home in the sought-after Allington area of Maidstone, wanted to create a bright, contemporary kitchen with a refined minimalist aesthetic. Sleek white handleless cabinetry established a clean architectural foundation, while the room needed a surface that would introduce subtle movement without disrupting its calm design. Mono Calacatta Eternal Grey quartz provided the perfect balance, adding understated character while maintaining the light, open feel of the space.

The U-shaped layout creates a practical and efficient workspace, providing generous preparation areas on three sides while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic. While exploring different options for quartz worktops in Maidstone, Tobias was looking for a surface that combined timeless style with long-lasting performance. The quartz extends effortlessly across the worktops, featuring a precision-cut opening for a flush-mounted hob that reinforces the kitchen’s streamlined appearance.

One of the standout features of this installation is the full-height quartz splashback. Extending continuously behind the work surface, it creates a seamless backdrop that protects the walls while showcasing the stone’s elegant grey veining. The uninterrupted flow between the worktops and splashback gives the entire kitchen a bespoke, architectural finish that perfectly complements its minimalist design.
