Arthur Pendelton, renovating his contemporary property on Tonbridge Road in Maidstone, envisioned a bold and highly reflective culinary space. He selected ultra-modern, high-gloss black handleless cabinetry to create a dramatic foundation. To balance this intense darkness and bounce natural light around the room, he needed a brilliantly bright surface. The design utilises a highly efficient U-shaped layout that maximises both preparation space and storage. The gleaming white quartz flows seamlessly across the dark base units, integrating a flush modern gas hob and a sleek undermount stainless steel sink positioned perfectly beneath the window.

To complete this tailored, monochromatic British aesthetic, the Mono Calacatta Eternal Grey stone continues upwards to form a spectacular full-height splashback around the entire perimeter. This continuous flow of bright quartz not only protects the walls but also beautifully reflects the light-grey floor tiles, creating an incredibly cohesive and immersive environment.
