Oliver Blackwood, revitalising his charming property in the desirable Chineham area of Basingstoke, sought to create a fresh, contemporary culinary space with a touch of classic British design. He opted for elegant blue-grey shaker-style cabinetry to provide a calming, sophisticated foundation. To beautifully contrast these soft, matte tones and to maximise the light within the room, he required a bright, sparkling surface. Mono Arctic Starburst quartz was the perfect choice to illuminate the space and serve as a stunning focal point.

The highly efficient L-shaped layout is designed for everyday practicality and visual impact. While exploring different options for quartz worktops in Basingstoke, Oliver was looking for a surface that would brighten the room, complement the blue-grey cabinetry, and provide lasting performance for everyday use. The dazzling white quartz sweeps flawlessly across the base units, effortlessly accommodating a modern hob and a sleek stainless steel double undermount sink.

A standout bespoke feature of this Basingstoke installation is the custom-fabricated matching quartz chopping board, meticulously designed to sit perfectly over the sink area. This clever addition extends the preparation space and adds a highly tailored, premium feel to the kitchen. To complete the seamless aesthetic, matching quartz upstands border the perimeter, providing a neat, wipe-clean seal against the freshly painted walls.
