We’ve completed a full quartz installation in this beautiful Basingstoke family kitchen, designed to create a brighter, more refined, and practical everyday living space.
The project was completed in 2025 at a family home on Ashwood Way, Winklebury, Basingstoke, where the kitchen had already been thoughtfully designed with warm tones, soft natural light, and a strong sense of family use.
This work was commissioned by an Irish family, with the renovation led by their daughter, who decided to update her parents’ kitchen as a meaningful home improvement project, focusing on both comfort and long-term practicality.
The main focus of the renovation was the worktops, with the aim of introducing a surface that would enhance the natural light in the room while maintaining a calm and elegant finish. We installed 20mm Mono Calacatta Gold quartz for the worktops and island, complete with matching upstands for a seamless and continuous appearance. The natural daylight coming through the windows highlights the soft golden veining, bringing warmth and subtle movement across the surface throughout the day.
The quartz runs across the L-shaped layout, including the sink run, preparation zones, and central island, creating a continuous and practical working surface that suits a busy family kitchen. Its refined finish and timeless appearance make it a great example of luxury kitchen worktops that combine visual elegance with everyday functionality.
This installation is a strong example of how the right surface can refine a space without changing its structure — simply enhancing what was already there with clarity, light, and balance.
