Rupert Montgomery, modernising his contemporary property near Windsor Road in Slough, envisioned a highly clinical, minimalist, and ultra-modern culinary space. He selected crisp, all-white handleless cabinetry paired with large-format white floor tiles to create a wonderfully expansive and airy atmosphere. However, to prevent the room from feeling entirely flat, he needed a surface that introduced subtle texture and sophisticated character. The design utilises a highly efficient and striking linear layout. The long, sweeping run of pristine white quartz flows flawlessly across the base units, seamlessly integrating a flush modern induction hob directly above a built-in stainless steel oven. Further along, a practical undermount sink is paired with a classic swan-neck mixer tap, positioned perfectly to benefit from the natural light flooding in from the adjacent windows.

To complete this tailored, minimalist British aesthetic, the Calacatta Eternal Grey stone continues upwards to form matching quartz upstands along the entire perimeter. This subtle architectural detail protects the freshly painted walls from splashes while elegantly showcasing the stone’s delicate veining across the length of the room.
