Working late shifts at one of London’s busiest nightlife venues, Liam wanted a kitchen that felt calm and understated when he returned home to Slough after a long evening. His apartment already featured modern concrete-effect cabinetry, but he needed a surface that would add contrast, durability, and a touch of sophistication without making the space feel overly formal.

As a trusted kitchen worktop specialist, Monoluxworktops recommended Mono Black Sparkle, a surface that perfectly complemented the industrial-inspired aesthetic of the room. The deep black background creates a striking visual anchor, while the subtle reflective particles catch natural and artificial light throughout the day, bringing movement and character to the design.

The compact L-shaped layout was designed to maximise functionality while maintaining clean lines and an uncluttered appearance. Matching upstands continue the material around the perimeter, creating a seamless finish that is both practical and easy to maintain. The polished surface works beautifully alongside the soft grey cabinetry, adding depth and definition without overwhelming the space.

A full 30mm quartz profile was specified throughout the installation, giving the worktops a more substantial and premium appearance. The result is a kitchen that feels tailored, contemporary, and perfectly suited to modern city living.
