Julia and Lucas Santos' Project

For Julia and Lucas Santos, the goal was never to create a kitchen that looked untouched. They wanted a space that could handle everyday family life while feeling bright, elegant, and easy to maintain. On 17 July 2025, the final piece of the renovation came with the installation of a new quartz worktop that completed the design.

The long, practical layout places the main preparation area beneath the window, making the choice of surface especially important. While exploring different options for quartz worktops in Watford, they wanted a material that would bring light into the room while standing up to everyday use around the sink, hob, and preparation areas. Mono Calacatta Borghini proved to be the perfect choice.

One of the standout features of the project is the way the quartz continues into the splashback behind the sink and hob, creating a seamless, architectural finish. Its soft white background and delicate grey veining complement the grey shaker cabinetry, warm wood flooring, and black appliances, bringing balance and subtle movement to the space.

For Julia and Lucas, investing in a luxury kitchen worktop was about more than appearance. They wanted a durable surface that would support everyday living while maintaining its elegant finish for years to come.
