Emma Carter Project

Located in Reading, this project was completed for Emma Carter in April 2025, as part of the final stage of a home renovation she had been gradually undertaking over the course of two years. Most of the kitchen had already been updated, including the cabinetry, lighting and flooring, but the worktops never quite matched the look she was trying to achieve. Rather than replacing the entire kitchen again, Emma decided to focus on the surfaces that she interacted with every day.

The existing worktops showed signs of wear and lacked the clean, contemporary finish she wanted for the space. After comparing several options, she chose Mono Capri White as a practical and long-lasting solution that would work with the kitchen’s minimalist design.

The new quartz worktops instantly brought consistency to the room. The crisp white surface softened the contrast between the cabinetry and walls while helping natural light travel further throughout the kitchen.

One detail Emma particularly wanted was a continuous run of worktop beneath the window, creating a more open and uncluttered appearance. The finished installation achieved exactly that, giving the kitchen a cleaner and more refined feel without altering the layout.

What began as a simple worktop replacement ended up being the final piece that tied the whole kitchen together.
