Jasper Caldwell Project

Jasper Caldwell, updating his modern property in the Broomfield area of Chelmsford, sought a high-contrast, clinical, and exceptionally bright kitchen design. He selected ultra-sleek, white high-gloss handleless cabinetry to maximise natural light. To ground the space and add texture, he cleverly integrated a dark wood-effect breakfast bar and flooring. For the work surfaces, he required a pristine, luminous finish with subtle character. As a leading bespoke stone fabrication expert, we recommended Mono Arctic Starburst quartz to provide the required shimmer and flawless radiance.

The resulting U-shaped layout is wonderfully airy. The brilliant white quartz flows seamlessly around the perimeter, beautifully housing a standard modern gas hob. Further along, a stainless steel undermount sink is integrated beneath the stone.

The defining feature of this installation is the continuous, cohesive flow of the stone. The Mono Arctic Starburst quartz travels upwards to form matching upstands, a full-height splashback behind the hob, and elegantly frames the view with a fully clad, integrated quartz window sill. This seamless integration ensures the high-gloss units sparkle under both natural and artificial light.
