After moving into their Northampton home, the Lindström family wanted to create a kitchen that felt brighter, more practical, and better suited to their everyday lifestyle. The existing shaker cabinetry already gave the room plenty of character, but the couple were looking for a surface that would introduce light and balance without losing the warmth of the design.

The deep green cabinetry, warm wood-effect flooring, and full-height storage created a strong architectural foundation. While exploring different options for quartz worktops in Northampton, they wanted a surface that would soften the darker tones while complementing the kitchen’s timeless style. Mirage Gold quartz proved to be the perfect choice. Installed across the full worktop layout, matching upstands, and full-height splashback behind the hob, the soft white surface with delicate golden veining brightens the room while adding gentle movement and warmth. The polished finish reflects natural light beautifully, creating a striking contrast against the dark green cabinetry without overpowering it.

A brushed bronze tap adds warmth and character, complementing the rich green shaker cabinetry while subtly picking up the delicate golden tones within the quartz.
