Giles Pemberton, modernising his property in the leafy London suburb of Wimbledon, wanted a clean, highly functional culinary space with a bold colour palette. He opted for deep navy blue, handleless cabinetry to create a sophisticated, tailored look. To contrast with these dark units and bounce natural light around the room, he needed a bright, subtly textured surface. As a leading kitchen worktop specialist, we knew Silver Starburst would add a brilliant touch of reflective glamour to his minimalist design without overpowering the space.

The layout utilises a highly efficient U-shape, seamlessly integrating the cooking and washing areas. The pristine Silver Starburst quartz wraps the base units beautifully, featuring a magnificent waterfall end panel on the peninsula that drops flawlessly to the floor, creating a strong architectural statement.

The stone effortlessly houses a modern gas hob and a sleek undermount dark sink, positioned perfectly to overlook the garden. The highly reflective mirror flecks within the cool grey quartz tie in seamlessly with the room’s crisp white walls and the large-format marble-effect floor tiles, ensuring the dark blue cabinetry feels incredibly vibrant and welcoming.
