Arthur, updating his spacious open-plan home in Chelmsford, wanted a dramatic yet highly refined culinary space. He chose deep, dark cabinetry to create a striking contrast but needed a brilliant, light-reflecting surface to anchor the room. The undeniable focal point of the room is the expansive central island, wrapped seamlessly in Aria White quartz. The island features a spectacular waterfall edge that flows beautifully down to the warm wood-effect flooring, creating a bold architectural statement. Set into this pristine surface is a bespoke copper undermount sink, paired perfectly with a matching swan-neck mixer tap. These warm metallic tones are beautifully echoed by the spectacular tubular glass and brass chandelier suspended above, casting a wonderful glow across the stone.

Along the perimeter, the dark, handleless units house a large professional range cooker beneath an ultra-modern angled black extractor. A matching Aria White quartz splashback sits elegantly behind the cooker, protecting the walls whilst tying the sleek, sophisticated British aesthetic together perfectly.
