Thomas Burrell Project

Thomas Burrell, living in a beautifully airy flat near Marine Parade in Brighton, wanted an open-plan kitchen that seamlessly blended coastal lightness with contemporary sophistication. He needed a robust worktop to handle busy weekend hosting and the rigours of daily life. He chose Stellar Blanco quartz for its highly durable, low-maintenance surface and its beautiful mirrored flecks, which playfully reflect the natural seaside light streaming through the large windows.

The design features a wonderful two-tone aesthetic, anchoring the room with a striking navy blue central island that perfectly complements the vibrant teal upholstered bar stools. The brilliant Stellar Blanco quartz sits beautifully atop this island, functioning as both a generous preparation area and a social breakfast bar beneath elegant glass pendant lights.

Along the perimeter, soft grey shaker-style cabinetry is fitted with classic cup handles, contrasting wonderfully with the ultra-modern black angled extractor hood and sleek induction hob. A matching quartz upstand and warm under-cabinet lighting run seamlessly along the back wall, completing this highly cohesive, bespoke British aesthetic over the gorgeous wood-effect flooring.
