Elliot Hawthorne's Project

 
This Brighton kitchen was designed for two friends sharing a home, including Elliot Hawthorne, a personal trainer working between Brighton and London. With both leading busy lifestyles, they wanted a kitchen that felt bright, durable, and effortlessly organised, even when it wasn’t in constant use.

The existing interior already had a strong foundation, with deep blue cabinetry, exposed brick-style splashback tiles, and a black range cooker creating a bold yet welcoming aesthetic. While exploring different options for quartz worktops in Brighton, they were looking for a surface that would brighten the space while complementing its darker tones.

Mono Calacatta Gold quartz proved to be the perfect choice.

Installed across the sink run and preparation areas, the quartz introduces a soft white background enriched with elegant golden veining. It lifts the darker cabinetry, creating a balanced contrast while maintaining a calm, contemporary feel.

A matching hob splashback continues the quartz behind the cooking area, providing both practical protection and a seamless visual flow between the hob and sink zones. The polished finish reflects natural daylight, making the compact kitchen feel brighter and more spacious throughout the day.

Designed for a home built around convenience and everyday living, the finished space perfectly reflects the appeal of modern luxury kitchen worktops—combining timeless style, durability, and effortless practicality.
