Aman  & Julie Verma project

Located in the thriving town of Guildford, this bright contemporary kitchen was designed for Aman Verma and his wife Julie, who recently began a new chapter of their lives together after getting married in 2025. Originally from India, Aman relocated to the UK to build a life with Julie while continuing his career within Guildford’s growing gaming industry, where he works as a senior environment designer for a leading game development studio.

Wanting their first home together to feel calm, elegant, and welcoming, the couple envisioned a kitchen that balanced modern simplicity with warmth and understated sophistication. To achieve this, Bianco Carrara quartz was selected for the worktops and island surfaces, introducing a luminous white backdrop enhanced by soft delicate veining that subtly elevates the entire space.

The bright quartz surfaces work beautifully alongside the crisp white cabinetry and soft neutral palette, creating an atmosphere that feels open, airy, and effortlessly refined. Warm wood accents and carefully styled open shelving introduce personality and warmth into the minimalist setting, while brushed metallic finishes add a polished contemporary touch throughout the design.

At the centre of the kitchen, the spacious island was designed to function as both a practical workspace and a relaxed social hub — ideal for casual breakfasts, hosting close friends, and unwinding together after long working days. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to create a home that felt timeless, peaceful, and perfectly suited to their new life together in the UK.

The final result is a beautifully balanced contemporary kitchen that combines brightness, simplicity, and modern luxury while reflecting Aman and Julie’s shared appreciation for elegant yet comfortable living.
