Rohan Sharma, undertaking a comprehensive renovation of his beautiful property in the vibrant Westbourne area of Bournemouth, envisioned a warm, inviting, yet highly contemporary culinary space. He selected elegant taupe high-gloss handleless cabinetry, which provides a soft, reflective, and streamlined foundation. To beautifully complement these warm earthy tones and to maximise the natural light pouring in from the overhead skylight, he required a pristine, subtly veined surface. Mono Taj Mahal quartz was the perfect choice to unify the design and introduce a touch of natural elegance.

The most striking architectural feature of this Bournemouth installation is the full-height matching quartz splashback. This type of detailing has become increasingly popular in quartz worktops in Bournemouth, where homeowners often look for seamless finishes that combine contemporary styling with everyday practicality. The stone extends continuously from the worktop up to the base of the wall cabinets and perfectly frames the cooking zone behind the sleek black extractor hood.

This expansive use of the Mono Taj Mahal quartz worktop not only protects the walls but also creates a highly cohesive, luxurious wrap-around effect. The warm cream tones of the stone create a stunning visual contrast with the bold black gas hob, the black chimney extractor, and the modern black sink integrated into the right-hand run.
