This Northampton kitchen sits within a home that was previously owned by a close friend of the current homeowners. After moving in, the Lindström family decided to refresh the space and adapt it to their own lifestyle — something more personal, practical, and better suited to everyday living as a pair rather than a larger household.

The kitchen already had a strong architectural base, but the material palette felt slightly heavy for their taste. Deep green cabinetry set a rich and confident tone across the room, while the light brown wooden flooring introduced warmth and a natural grounding element. Large windows allowed daylight to flow through the space, shifting throughout the day and highlighting different textures across the kitchen. 
With this combination of strong green tones and warm flooring, the homeowners wanted a worktop that would sit comfortably within the scheme without overpowering it — something that would lift the space and create balance between colour and light. As part of our approach to luxury kitchen worktops, the focus was on finding a surface that delivered both elegance and long-term durability.

We installed this elegant quartz across the full worktop layout, including the sink run, preparation areas, and extended surfaces, finished with matching upstands for a clean and continuous look. The soft white base is enriched with delicate golden veining, which becomes more expressive as natural light moves across the room, adding warmth and subtle depth to the design.

The continuous worktop runs help connect the kitchen zones into one cohesive layout, making the space feel more functional and visually balanced. The polished surface reflects daylight beautifully, softening the contrast between the bold cabinetry and warm flooring.
