Julian Sterling, updating his spacious property in the vibrant Clarendon Park area of Leicester, envisioned a bright, ultra-modern space with striking visual contrasts. He selected sleek, light grey handleless cabinetry for the perimeter to keep the room feeling airy, while opting for a dramatic, dark marble-effect base for the central island. To tie these elements together and reflect the abundant natural light pouring in from the large overhead skylight, he needed a brilliant, luminous surface. As an experienced kitchen worktop specialist, we knew Mono Ultra White Quartz would provide the perfect, pristine canvas.

The layout is masterfully designed to balance light and shadow. The crisp white quartz flows seamlessly across the light grey perimeter units, flawlessly housing a modern gas hob and a sleek undermount stainless steel sink positioned neatly beneath the window. Matching quartz upstands and a dedicated splashback behind the hob create a seamless, wipe-clean finish that protects the freshly painted walls.

The undeniable centrepiece of this Leicester kitchen is the expansive central island. Wrapped in Mono Ultra White Quartz, it sits beautifully beneath three statement pendant lights, creating a breathtaking preparation and entertaining zone.
