Arthur Sterling, undertaking a major architectural renovation of his property in the desirable Oadby area of Leicester, envisioned a highly dramatic, ultra-modern culinary space. He selected sleek, all-white high-gloss handleless cabinetry to establish a bright, highly reflective foundation. To create a breathtaking visual contrast against these stark white units and the light floor tiles, he required a dark, statement surface with a powerful presence. We knew that Eternal Marquina quartz would provide the ultimate luxurious centrepiece.

The layout is a masterclass in modern monochrome design. As Arthur explored different options for quartz worktops in Leicester, he was determined to find a surface that would create a bold contrast while maintaining the clean, minimalist feel of the kitchen. The expansive U-shaped perimeter flawlessly integrates the deep black Eternal Marquina quartz, beautifully accommodating a sleek undermount sink. To heighten the dramatic effect, the dark quartz travels upwards to form a spectacular, continuous matching splashback, elegantly framing the large window and creating a seamless, wipe-clean finish.

The undeniable masterpiece of this Leicester installation is the massive central island. Completely wrapped in Eternal Marquina, it features breathtaking double waterfall edges. The striking white veins cascade flawlessly from the horizontal preparation surface directly down to the light-tiled floor, anchoring the bright room with a bold architectural statement.
