Grace Turner’s Project

For Grace Turner, the worktop was one of the key finishing decisions in her Brentwood kitchen. The space already had plenty of character, with deep green cabinetry, natural oak doors, a traditional white Belfast sink, and a bold black range cooker. What was needed was a surface that could brighten the room, soften the darker tones, and bring everything together with a refined finish.

On June 16, 2025, the kitchen was completed with Mono Calacatta Gold Superior quartz. Its soft white base lifted the space instantly, while the delicate gold and warm grey veining added gentle movement without overwhelming the traditional style of the room.

The main worktop running around the Belfast sink was especially important. Against the green cabinet fronts, the pale surface creates a timeless contrast, while the polished finish keeps the sink area crisp and practical for daily use.

The same quartz continues across the wider preparation area, giving the kitchen a generous and durable surface for cooking, serving, and family routines. Its subtle pattern feels more characterful than a plain white worktop, while the warm veining connects naturally with the oak cabinet doors and traditional handles.

A smaller quartz surface was also fitted beneath the dresser-style cabinetry, helping the whole design feel more considered and complete.
