Theodore Pemberton, modernising his property in the leafy Putnoe area of Bedford, sought to create a highly reflective, space-enhancing kitchen. To achieve this, he selected sleek, light grey high-gloss handleless cabinetry, providing a clean and contemporary foundation. To maximise the natural light pouring in from the garden door and rear window, he required a pristine, illuminating surface. Aspen Ice quartz was chosen as the perfect light-catching centrepiece.

As seen in the installation, the highly efficient U-shaped layout extends outward into a practical peninsula, creating a natural division in the room while offering an expansive preparation area. While comparing different options for quartz worktops in Bedford, Theodore was drawn to a surface that would maximise natural light without compromising on durability or everyday practicality. The dazzling Mono Aspen Ice quartz sweeps flawlessly across the high-gloss units, effortlessly accommodating a contrasting black glass gas hob and a sleek stainless steel undermount sink.

A standout architectural detail in this Bedford home is the intelligent use of the quartz around the window area. The stone seamlessly forms matching upstands around the perimeter and transitions flawlessly into a fully clad, integrated quartz window sill. This bespoke touch not only protects the walls but also creates a highly cohesive, wipe-clean finish that ties the modern aesthetic together.
