Alfred's Project

For Alfred Be, the goal was never to create the boldest kitchen. Working in the technology sector between Cambridge and London, he wanted a space that felt calm, refined, and effortless to live in. By early 2026, the layout and cabinetry were already in place. The final decision was choosing the right quartz worktop to bring the entire design together.

While exploring different options for quartz worktops in Cambridge, Alfred was looking for a surface that balanced timeless style with everyday practicality. After comparing a wide range of materials and finishes, one option stood out: the Taj Mahal quartz worktop.

Its soft movement and warm neutral tones complemented the minimalist design without overwhelming the space. Matching splashbacks and continuous work surfaces created a clean architectural finish, while the same material was also used for the vanity tops in both bathrooms, bringing a consistent look throughout the home.

Natural daylight enhances the subtle detailing within the quartz, adding warmth and texture as the light changes throughout the day. The finished kitchen shows that thoughtful material choices and quality craftsmanship can create a timeless interior without unnecessary complexity.
