Farah Rahman, living in a contemporary coastal apartment on West Overcliff Drive in Bournemouth, wanted a sleek, highly functional kitchen that reflected her modern tastes. As someone who enjoys hosting weekend get-togethers by the sea, she needed a bright, durable work surface that could easily handle heavy use whilst contrasting beautifully with her choice of dark, glossy cabinetry. Misterio Gold quartz was the perfect bespoke solution, bringing a brilliant, light-reflecting elegance and subtle golden warmth to her coastal home.

The heart of this ultra-modern space is the highly practical central island, wrapped in the luminous Misterio Gold quartz. This pristine white surface houses a sleek undermount stainless steel sink, perfectly paired with a professional-style spring-neck mixer tap. Bespoke drainage grooves have been expertly routed directly into the quartz, ensuring the preparation area remains highly functional without compromising the clean, minimalist aesthetic. The island also features clever open shelving on the end, adding a touch of casual practicality to the room.

Along the perimeter, striking dark grey, handleless gloss cabinets provide a dramatic backdrop that makes the white quartz truly pop. The Misterio Gold worktops flow seamlessly across the L-shaped layout, complementing the sleek black induction hob and integrated stainless steel appliances. A neat, matching quartz upstand borders the perimeter, finishing the room with a cohesive, polished look that beautifully offsets the warm wood-effect flooring.
