Benedict Carmichael, updating his property in the highly desirable Kew area of Richmond, wanted to create an ultra-modern, dramatic culinary space with a touch of high-tech elegance. He selected sleek, dark charcoal high-gloss handleless cabinetry to establish a bold and highly reflective foundation. To perfectly contrast these moody units and complement the striking geometric LED chandelier suspended above, he required a bright, luminous surface with subtle texture. As a leading kitchen worktop specialist, we knew Mono Silver Starburst quartz would provide the perfect sparkling canvas.

The expansive L-shaped design is a masterclass in modern minimalism. The pristine Mono Silver Starburst quartz flows seamlessly across the dark base units, creating a highly practical and visually stunning preparation zone. It elegantly accommodates a flush modern gas hob and a sleek stainless steel undermount sink, complete with a bespoke matching quartz cover for maximum workspace efficiency.

To complete this cohesive, bespoke British aesthetic, the stone travels upwards to form matching quartz upstands around the entire perimeter. This subtle architectural detail protects the walls and extends beautifully to form a fully clad integrated window sill, tying the room together flawlessly.
