Priya Sharma, expanding her lovely family home on Nascot Wood Road in Watford, desired a brilliantly bright, open-plan extension to seamlessly connect her living space with the garden. To contrast the deep espresso cabinetry of her central island, she required a work surface that was spotlessly pure and highly reflective. Ultra White quartz was the ultimate bespoke choice, bringing maximum luminosity and an ultra-clean, modern edge to the very heart of her architectural space.

The focal point of this stunning renovation is the expansive central island. Topped with the pure, unblemished Ultra White quartz, the island provides a spectacular preparation area that cleverly integrates a sleek, flush-mounted induction hob. This pristine, solid white surface creates a dramatic and sophisticated contrast against the dark wood, beautifully highlighting the striking brushed brass handles that adorn the deep storage drawers.

Along the perimeter, soft cream-toned shaker cabinetry houses high-end stainless steel integrated ovens and a classic ceramic Belfast sink. The crisp Ultra White quartz continues seamlessly along this run, offering a wonderful textural contrast with the traditional oak herringbone flooring and the industrial edge of the black-framed Crittall-style doors. Bathed in abundant natural daylight from the oversized skylights and pendant fittings, the entire scheme feels exceptionally cohesive, airy, and distinctly refined.
